Awesome ideas!! All very unique and practical for classroom use! Kudos!
Here some of the ideas I brainstormed:
-Add-on stories or sentences: each student type a sentence or word to complete a class/group story or sentence.
-Math problem of the week- post solutions
-weather predictions
-vocab practice; challenge students to describe it in different ways, use in sentence, etc.
-adjective practice- teacher post a noun; students post adjectives to describe it
-science experiments- post hypothesis, process, etc.
-plant observations
-book club discussion: all students read a book (or class read-aloud); teacher facilitate online discussion
-responses to art

Carrie-
That is a great management tool for monitoring students' computer time. You could also have an ongoing project that they are to work on when they get to the computer. Then each student/partnership/group could remove their sticks when their project is complete.
